Doesn't work

I followed all instructions and am using medium to large kernels, however, all of them fly out immediately when the machine is in use. Also the machine smells of melted plastic when in use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Dash Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker is simple to use and makes nice fluffy popcorn, quickly. The measuring cup on top is a good size for melting butter (much bigger than our old machine). My kids love the clear top so they can watch the popcorn fill up.
I would recommend this to a friend!
