Going to start with overall, worth getting with the current product line available. I'm very sure some of these are colors that used to exist in older large sets, but currently this is going to be the only way to get the shades in Crayola without hitting up used sales. The Crayola-yellow is FANTASTIC, it is not Dandelion, but it is equally a great yellow and a little deeper toned. The duplicate colors in this pack that are present in the 100ct vary slightly, iirc from when I swatched the Salmon in this set is a little waxier for example and a couple are just slightly different tones; only one really matched it's 100ct counterpart. Some of the 100ct duplicates in this set are better than the ones from that set, in tone and lead consistency.

Again, the Case of the Missing Pinks

I own both this and the new pastel collection. Both suffer from similar problems. The only red tones are warm, veering on orange. In both sets, cool pinks are absolutely missing. Also, cool lavender tones are under represented. It's a strange emission. Why emphasize warm, orangey reds and not include any pinks/lavenders?

Fun addition to our set

Very nice, soft colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product with my 7 & 5 year old. We thought the pencils needed a little more pressure than the standard colored pencil, but that may be because they are pastel colors. They blended well to add dimension to our photos. My 5 year old was looking for more basic colors, so this product and these colors are a perfect addition to our collection. My 7 year old liked the kindness phrases but did ask what the point was. I didn't have a great answer, I just told her they were trying to make kids happy while they color. They sharpen well. We would recommend them to a friend looking for softer colors like these!
