I’ve been using the Taser StrikeLight 2 for a couple of weeks now, and I’m genuinely happy with the purchase.
The build quality feels very solid and premium. It has a nice weight to it without being too heavy, and it fits comfortably in my hand. I especially like how discreet it can be — I carry it in my left hand, and my palm naturally covers the “TASER” branding, so it just looks like a regular flashlight.
The red light mode has been surprisingly useful while walking at dusk or in low-light conditions. It provides enough visibility without being overly bright or attracting too much attention. The buttons are also an improvement and easy to operate once you get used to the layout.
The only small learning curve I experienced was remembering not to accidentally press the trigger button while turning the safety switch on. It took me a couple of practice draws to get the motion smooth, but that’s more about building good muscle memory than any design flaw.
Overall, I feel more confident carrying this every day. It’s a well-thought-out combination of a bright flashlight and a powerful deterrent. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something reliable and low-profile.

Seems well built. Have to be careful handling as holding the light can turn it on prematurely with the web of the hand. For a defensive light, it needs a strobe function.

I had the older version of this model and I was happy with it, however I left it in my very hot car too many times (Florida sun) over the years and ruined the battery, so it was time for a new one.
Wow!! This updated version is AMAZING!! I am loving it so much and couldn’t wait to write this review:
It’s lightweight, the new design is much better than the original model. It has 3 different settings for the light. (Red, normal and bright). Fantastic!
It has a safety feature that makes you have to take an extra step to engage the taser, which is GREAT because I’m old and had accidentally shocked myself a couple of times while using the older model. 😆
I’m a night time Courier and unfortunately most people don’t leave an outside light on for me. So, I’m using this flashlight on almost every drop off. It helps me feel much safer and it’s easy to carry using the wrist strap along with my drop off items.
It’s simple to plug in and recharge and it has a light that turns green to let you know when it’s fully charged.
Another reason I love it is that it’s keeping me safe from not only potential predators, but LOOSE DOGS.
Thankfully I have not had to use it directly on one yet, but I just zapped it in the air and the dogs ran away. And yes that’s happened to me more than once, and the dogs hated the zap noise so they ran the other direction.
I’m so thankful for this product and now it’s become one of those things that I can’t live without.
