[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really did not expect to like this as much as i do. When i got this i figured the battery would only do the front yard then i would recharge the batteries and do the back yard the next day. Well i was wrong it did both front and back and still has a good charge. Its quiet and light so its a pleasure to use. I also like the fact i can lower the unit and and by using the back vacuum up and clipping on the driveway. The only thing i wish is you could adjust the hight of the blade a bit higher but i can deal with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an absolutely wonderful mower. It is very quite and does a great job on very thick grass. I don’t like the tires being plastic, but they are the same size as a regular mower, so I can switch them out to rubber. There is a height adjustment, which is nice. The bag on the back, didn’t catch hardly any of the grass, but that isn’t a problem. I really didn’t expect much from this mower but it has exceeded my expectations. P
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using a battery powered mower and I'm very impressed. Was not expecting it to be as powerful as it is. Charging and inserting and removing the batteries are very easy to do. Easy initial setup and light assembly out of the box. Cut through the thick grass around my office no problem. I like that you have an option to bag or mulch the grass clippings. Very lightweight for as well as it works and folds down nicely for storage. Would definitely recommend this mower.
This year we have purchased 4 greenworks products. A 80V weed wacker, 80V18"chainsaw, 24V 10"chainsaw and a the 48V 17" lawnmower. Needless to say, we're sold on Greenworks products. THe ONLY grumble I have about this mower is because of the batteries. The lawn mower comes with two 24V batteries which I thought would interchange with with my 24V chainsaw. But, they do not, they are larger. That, at this point is my only complaint. The 17" deck is excellent for getting into smaller area to mow and the batteries last much longer than anticipated. We're ver happy with our purchase.
Just finished using the mower for the first time, and it was a great experience. Easy to assemble and it performed flawlessly. A perfect fit for my lawn.
I purchased this to replace a 20yr old corded mower. It had some minor switch issues but, felt like the time to upgrade.
First of all, I love being cord free. Soooo much better. I’m mowing a smallish suburban front yard (1,500 sq ft or so), comprised of thick St. Augustine grass. So far, the Greenworks mower has barely broken a sweat. I have plenty of battery power to accomplish the task, probably enough for doing it twice. All good there.
I like the handle and start functionality. I’m 5’ 10” and my old mower would leave me with a sore back. The Greenworks allows me have the handle at a steeper angle for better posture. The quick release fold mechanism of the handle lets me fold it up for a MUCH better fit in my small storage room.
As I said before, this replaced a heavy, well made corded model. While this one is much lighter but, I fear it will not last another 20 years, that’s for sure. Let’s face it, the wheels are lame - thin plastic. Almost what you’d find on a toddler’s toy. And the battery hatch feels really flimsy. One solid hit and it will be done for.
All in all, a good buy with a couple slight potential issues down the road. Take that for what it’s worth.
