The batteries don't last very long. I'd recommend buying if you have a tiny yard. I have to charge the batteries 4 times to get my yard done, and it's not even that big of a yard. Doesn't do well in softer grass areas, it just sinks in and ends up killing itself unless you put on a higher level, which makes your cut uneven. It also doesn't do so well with any type of hill/bumpy terrain. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver though

Hello Kayht,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
Love my new Greenworks mower! Quiet and efficient, cut my lawn in no time. The height adjustment was easy, and was surprised by the power. Love my new weed eater as well! Definitely will tell my friends. Nice to not deal with gas, etc.
I bought mine a month ago and absolutely love it. I had borrowed a friends mower thag had a similar one. His took only one battery but it was so easy to use. So, when I started shopping to get myself one; I ran across this deal. This mower is not self-propelled but so easy to push, cuts great and easy to clean, plus it came with a cordless drill gun that works amazing. So glad that I decided to go with this mower. I recommend that you try one yourself.
Shipping was fast. The mower works well and starts easily. Mows my yard easily on one charge, but my yard is small, about 1/4 acre. Perfect for my needs. The height adjustment was difficult to change and stuck. I had to push the button and physically shake the mower to get it to change.
The tool was incredibly easy to assemble and it was incredible how quiet it was. I felt comfortable listening to a podcast while mowing (with noise cancellation). My issue is that the battery did not last for quite the entire job. This is compounded when I bought an edger that was compatible with the same battery. I ended up needing a spare battery for the entire job.
