Wish I would have noticed the connector ends are plastic

So we just brought this home and connected it. The connecting end are plastic and not metal. I didn't even know that was a thing with garden hoses. I bought a midline priced 100 ft. hose, not the cheapest one and not the most expensive. It says it's light weight and easy to handle which I need. Fingers crossed ? the ends hold up.

It’s definitely not a bargain, even at Walmart’s prices but it appears to be of decent quality so far. Only time will tell.
