Excellent, silent, soft, intuitive.... only area for improvement: the characters on the keys are difficult to read sometimes depending on the room light; not enough contrast between key and character colors
The footers on the keyboard are minimal and do not raise the slant sufficiently to be comfortable for long typing sessions. The device was purchased because it has the backlit key option. While this is satisfactory, I am having to prop the keyboard up with books to get it to a comfortable typing position.
The keyboard is really great but it is up to you to figure out how to use it. Plugging it in should guide you to the on-line instructions. Only that didn't work. Plugging it in didn't do anything. The keyboard didn't work. There were no instructions with the box. After 1/2 hour on the website, you discover that you have to download HP Accessory Center. Even that has minimal instructions and no real insights into the design. So after another 1/2 hour, it worked. And it was great. I programmed the F3 key and that worked great. Except, I lost the capability to capitalize in Word with Shift-F4. Oh well, the rest of it is fantastic. You can run your laptop with Bluetooth and the desktop with the dongle. Great idea. Typing is also natural and easy. Best of all keyboards.
Keyboard is heavy, charges quickly and has some great features, including backlit keys and all kinds of bells and whistles. Unfortunately the lettering is all white on light silver and is VERY hard to read when you are typing in a room with the lights on. In dim conditions is much better, but all of the text and symbols are just so small that it’s very hard to read them even the. (The function key row at the top is the worst, but it’s obvious the designers went for looks instead of basic functionality. I may return it and use the non-backlit one that came with the machine just to save me the headache of squinting all the time. Aside from that, everything works fine and has a lot of versatility. I’m just not sure that the benefits would outweigh the migraine I will get trying to figure out what weird feature is linked to the special keys.
