Another brand recorder was done, and I was in need of something without a big price. Found it, happier than expected.

I bought this to interview people on the history of Dayton, Ohio. I chose the PRO47B recorder due to its compact size and inexpensive price. I was amazed at the sound quality and the ease of being able to download the sound files to my computer. The instructions were very clear and it only took a few minutes to learn all the features that the recorder has. And, even though the recorder is compact enough to fit in my shirt pocket, the screen is more than large enough to read. I have used it several times now, including at a music festival. I used the earbuds that came with the recorder to listen to the music the next day, which sounded amazing. It is now my go-to device to listen to music.

I bought this a bit ago and the sound quality is amazing and picks up all noise around it and has been working a while without needing batteries changed.

Sorry to read that you are experiencing issues with the PR047B Digital Voice Recorder. You are correct that this item requires 2 AAA batteries (not included), if using new batteries though the battery life should be much longer than 2 minutes. If we can help with troubleshooting please email us at prodinfo@dpiinc.com.
