Solid recorder, a little hard to use

Decent recorder, does the job for short notes, phone calls, etc., but has been eclipsed by the modern smartphone. Plus it's only 4GB

Was working great but now it doesn't work at all

This is my 3rd recorder of this same exact model. The other two worked great, I just lost them. This recorder has been working fantastic for the last 3 months until today. I put in fresh batteries and turned it on and it displayed 40 96 and then shut off. That's all it will do. Now I can't even use it or retrieve my recordings off of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this today because I was tired of using a paper note pad and figured it would be simpler to have a digital device to capture memories
