Easy to use

I’ve always said that if it has the KitchenAid name on it, I know it’s going to last, which is why I was so excited to put their new smart thermometer to the test. This thermometer is specifically for meat, not any other type of cooking or baking. The setup was incredibly easy and straightforward. It easily and quickly connects to the app, which I find extremely user friendly. The probe is charged by its docking station and when fully charged, this thermometer will last up to 175 cooking hours! I love that the dock is magnetic and we keep it on our fridge, so it's not taking up extra space in my drawers. The probe is easy to clean and dishwasher safe!
The app notified me multiple times during the cooking period to let me know approximately when the meat would be done, when it was getting close to temperature, and when to pull it out to allow it to rest.
This smart thermometer is another great KitchenAid addition to my kitchen and I definitely recommend it for yours!

You'll never need another meat thermometer

When using, simply insert into the meat up to the line on the probe, tell the app what you're cooking, and it tells you the rest! The app notified me multiple times during the cooking period to let me know approximately when the meat would be done, when it was getting close to temperature, and when to pull it out to allow it to rest. It actually has a rest timer after you pull your meat out and will let you know when you should cut into it!
KitchenAid maintains a standard of excellence that makes them a go-to for any serious home cook and this smart thermometer is another great KitchenAid addition to my kitchen and I definitely recommend it for yours!

Modern Kitchen Thermometer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions are a little confusing, I thought it would tell me what the inside temperature was going to be instead of calculating the cook time. I love how sleek the design is and how modern it is since you need to use an app to run the thermometer.

Intuitive design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many improvements with this new smart thermometer over my old one. First, it is wireless so I do not have to try to clean that cord after it come out of the smoker and I can never quite get clean again. Second, I love having a simple intuitive app that I can setup in seconds. I did even need to read the instructions it was so easy. The thermometer is easy to clean and easy to charge.

It connects to your phone via Bluetooth so you can monitor whatever you're cooking right from the app. Once you launch the app, you get to pick exactly what you're cooking, how you want it cooked and what you're using to cook with. It also alerts you when to flip your meat and exactly when it’s done, which is a huge help especially for beginners. The storage dock doubles as a charger, and one charge lasts for days of cooking. It’s made from high-quality stainless steel and is very easy to wipe clean after each use.

Convenient but not foolproof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this thermometer out twice, and had significantly better luck the second time. I cooked chicken breast in the oven both times. The app and thermometer are relatively easy to set up, and the probe is simple to insert. The first time, however, the app froze in the middle of cooking, and my chicken came out overcooked. This may have been due to other Bluetooth devices being on near the docking station, but I don't know for sure. The second time went off without a hitch, with prompt alerts about flipping the chicken and when to take the meat out of the oven. I also really like the rest timer feature, and the fact that you can stick the station on the fridge with the built-in magnets. Overall, I'm very pleased.
