Fancy thermometer

High tech and easy to use!

Very easy to use once you download the app app. Tells you all the right temperatures you should cook the foods at and when it gets to the right temperature. Charges on a USB charger came with a cord but not the plug. Probe is good and works well and the range is pretty good.

A necessity for any cook...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We currently have a meat probe, but it's precarious with wires dangling to its base unit. This one, though — it's wireless, stout, rechargeable, and has a simple, straightforward app without all the frills. Just what we wanted! I love the fact that there's no batteries. Upon getting this, I had no idea it was rechargeable, so that's a big plus. You charge the dock which charges the probe. The app itself isn't complex — it's straight to the point. You set the temperature you're wanting to reach and you get immediate alerts to your phone. The probe itself is easy to clean with soap and water, but it's also dishwasher safe. As funny as it may sound, I check the accuracy of thermometers like this under my tongue. As long as it reaches a degree or two from 98, I'm content. This was spot-on. KitchenAid is easily my favorite brand to utilize in our kitchen. With them, you get what you pay for. It's a brand I trust and I'm sure their smart thermometer is going to serve us well for many years to come.

Very useful for everyday cooking

The installation of the app was very straightforward and it took only a few seconds to learn how to use it for the first time. The range is quite powerful and I get the alerts for the desirable temperature when I'm not actively present or cooking in the kitchen. The design is pretty sleek and makes it a very efficient device to have in my kitchen.

Precise cooking

This is makes cooking so much less stressful and guarantee that everybody’s steak comes out to their liking. This app is actually cooking for dummies. It allows you to pick what type of meat you’re using. Set your temperature and even do a timer so there’s no excuse for overcooked food. Setting up the app and connecting everything took a matter of minutes and there’s so much additional features on the app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KitchenAid smart thermometer is amazing! Very easy to set up, just charge the thermometer and download the KitchenAid app on your phone. Once it’s charged, it automatically connects to the app when you remove it from the base. The app is very user friendly and walks you through proper temperatures for various foods. I love that you just stick it in before you start cooking and it tracks the temperature until it’s done, so you don’t have to constantly keep checking. It definitely takes the guess work out of making sure your food is cooked properly!
