As long as you keep the filter clean, this is the best trimmer/ styler at this price point. The variety of lengths is a huge plus. Best of all, NO MESS!
Pros: variety of trimming lengths, relatively quick, no mess!
Cons: needs to be cleaned after each use

I checked other reviews and most were very positive and I see why. Once you get it set up the trimmer cuts nice and even. I like that you do not have to oil and the blades are self sharpening. The small area for collecting hair works great, do not get facial hair all over the sink. Also the various settings for length is easy to adjust.

When this item is new it works great!
BUT, be prepared for the teeth on comb to break off and you have an uneven beard. Philips needs to make the comb stronger.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
