Unfortunately the storage area of the shaver has a door that is poorly engineered and doesn't stay closed. If you're willing to be diligent and keep the door pressed shut while you're shaving, it works as advertised.
I wish the engineers would have designed the door differently and more durably. It is the primary weakness of the shaver.

i've been using this trimmer for years. i have no problems with it, except it would be good to have more add-ons to put on this model like the newer model of 7100s has. it would help with edge trimming and keeping the face neat and trimmed.
The big head on this one isn't bad its just big to trim the edges of the beard and nose especially neatly.
Good model overall, i love the lcd display, its great for battery level, wish the newer models had that instead of just some light that doesn't tell you anything about how much power is left in battery. So that's a plus for this older model.

door lock on the front broke within a month of buying.

Works great! You set the beard length and it does the rest. Clean up is easy, as the built in vacuum collects most of the shaven beard. Really good product. Worth the money!

Only wish that they would sell replacement blades for this one... because the performance is great. If I find replacement blades, then this gets five stars across the board. Whisper quiet, vacuum feature actually does work quite well... and these are used as whole body trimmers, not just for my face, and I find very little hair on the floor when I am done trimming. Definite recommend for men who need a durable trimmer that leaves little mess.
Pros: performs awesome, vacuum does work
Cons: no replacement blades yet
