Some nice features. One real deficiency. Average overall

The surprisingly good feature of this trimmer is that the vacuuming of the cut hairs actually works quite well, rather than being a feature to sell the trimmer that doesn't really function. Overall the trimmer cuts about as well as other brands I have owned. The recharger nd the cordless trimming work well, and the adjustment for beard length is well designed and smooth-functioning. A distinct design problem is that the trimmer does not function very well with the trimming blades exposed, i.e.,without the plastic, adjustable guide that determines beard length. It is hard in this mode, both to fit the shaving head into tight spots, and to see it clearly in the mirror, in order to guide it.

Excellent trimmer!!
This is the second Phillips trimmer I have owned. The addition of the vacuum and the closer increments in the adjustment of blade height are a nice touch.
My first trimmer lasted about ten years and still going strong it has been relegated to permenant travel bag status in the RV
Pros: closer in adjustment for blade height, vacuum
Cons: none

Good BUT...

It is impossible to use the trimmer under your nose or on your chin and get the beard trimmed to the same length as the rest of your face. Because of this, I needed to purchase an additional trimmer from a competitor that would trim under my nose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Performance wise it's flawless but when it comes to the vacuum it really only collects 1/2-3/4 of your trimmings, so there will still be some clean up, but not as much as you're accustomed to. Also, because of the vacuum attachment, you need to manipulate your angles of approach to get straight lines without the attachment on when trimming.
Pros: great battery, nice shutoff "travel" feature, good performance
Cons: vacuum feature not great, hard to maintain tight lines

This trimmer is very consistent. Vacuum works great. On turbo the vacuum doesn't quite keep up, but it's pretty close.
Pros: vacuum option is great, easy cleanup
Cons: turbo vacuum doesn't quite keep up

I have owned several grooming products over the years but this is the worst ever. It's works well in flat open areas but is too big and bulky and difficult to use with any finesse.
The door on mine also broke. I also found the hair guard to be really cheaply made. It would bend out of shape from time to time and stab my skin. Eventually one prong broke off completely.
I will never buy another product of this kind.
Pros: good power
Cons: cheaply made, too big and bulky
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I researched many beard trimmers and decided to pull the trigger on this beard trimmer. I have thick hair which flys all over the place when I trim with a basic beard trimmer and tends to clog them. I was sold right away on the vaccum understanding it does not catch 100% of the hair but it makes a big difference catching 80-90% of it. The vaccum feature obviously will work better or worse depending on your hair type. To get the best use out of this product you have to use the flexible guard. It trims my beard perfect all around and gives it an even look plus it prevent the blades from ever getting too close no matter what angle you use it with. I like how the guard locks in place once its turned on so it won't collapse on you if you push too hard. The hair trap is pretty easy to clean as well. Only down side I found was your hand tends to cover the air vents which could reduce the efficientcy of the vaccum. The battery does not last very long between charges if you use the faster speed often for obvious reasons. The blades work really well and I have not had my stubble clog them but you can tell this is where they cut corners to make this thing affordable. I was hoping for thicker ground steel blades instead of stamped. At this price point I would definately purchase again. I would pay more for better blades and made in the USA.
Pros: easy to use, flex guard makes for an even trim, vaccum makes a big difference in clean up, hair trap easy to clean, adjustable locking guard
Cons: hand tends to cover air vents slows the vaccum, have to charge it often using fast speed, not made in the usa, stamped blades
