I really like this trimmer when I keep a short beard growth. This trimmer keeps my beard looking good day after day. My only reservation is what I read in many of the reviews as I researched a trimmer. The little plastic door that holds the trimmings has a very cheap plastic latch. I took very good care of it and it broke in the first 30 days. I contacted Philips and they were awesome and sent me a new one right away. I am being very careful with the new one but the latch is so fragile that I am sure it is only a matter of time before it breaks again. But I really like the trimmer so I will keep using until then.
Pros: great trimmer
Cons: very weak plastic latch on the door

I'd read the reviews that talked about a trimming attachment that was supposedly missing and could be ordered. Mine came with everything I needed.
I didn't think the vacuum feature would work but it does and quite well!
It would be nice if there was a stand for it. Actually, for my situation, a case to put it into a drawer without beating it up might work better.
Pros: holds a charge well, vacuum works
Cons: no case or stand

Far above the competition

As someone who has maintained a beard for many years, I've bought and used a variety of trimmers. While all have had their good points, they've all ultimately been disappointments - until now. This trimmer has had consistent power, excellent battery life, great ease of use, and comfort in my hand unlike any other. Without question, this is the best trimmer I've ever owned. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing a beard trimmer they can rely on.
Pros: great power, terrific battery iife, excellent design and feel, easy to clean
