My main issue with the product may have to do with my fastidiousness. The issue is that in trying to clean the head after trimming my beard, hairs still remain under the cutting blades. Due to the precarious nature of the mechanism that holds the blades in place, if not very careful, you can pull the holders off and then it is impossible to get it back on. I have had to replace the head several times before learning never to do that again.
Pros: love the vacuum that catches the cut hairs
Cons: see comments above about cleaning cutting head

I've owned a couple of the older models of the vacuum beard trimmer and they worked great! Some of the door parts would break from being worn out after being used for over a year, but they worked very good. This new version has some very bad design flaws, starting out with the fact that within several months the vacuum doesn't suck any hair into the chamber. Also, a lot of the hair goes under the blade cartridge and into the shaft chamber. The battery starts to weaken after a few months, so that it takes more than an hour to charge and doesn't last a half hour after a full charge. This is my 3rd one. I keep buying these because Phillips is the only one that makes vacuum beard trimmers. I wish I could get one of their older models again, or they correct these issues with the new model.
This trimmer is incredibly easy to use, and my beard has never looked better. It is a high quality product that does exactly what it claims to do, and the best part....the vacuum system leaves zero trimmings to clean up. I give my highest recommendation to this product.
I've worn a moderate to short beard for over forty years, and trimmed it with scissors, while using a blade razor for the neck area not incorporated in my beard.I received this as a Christmas gift, and thought it would take the place of the scissors and blade. This product has been very good to trim my beard, on the short side, at a uniform length, but does not provide, even at the shortest setting, as close a shave for my neck that I prefer and had accomplished with the blade. Overall, it does function well and with a short learning curve is easy to use.
Pros: provides uniform beard length
Cons: not good for a close shave

The comb is a little rough under the nose area. Also a better travel case.
