Not worth the money!

I bought this thermometer a couple months ago, I used it 3 times and now the display is messed up! Tried a new battery, same thing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

Suddenly failed. Thought it was the battery, but not. Nothing on the screen. Owned less than 6 months.

Stopped working

We got this as a gift to go with our Weber grill however it suddenly stopped working. Thought it was a battery problem, but replacing the battery did nothing. Very disappointing.

Stopped working within months

Worked great a few times and always hand washed the probe. Battery seemed to have died really quick, replaced battery and nothing! Tried to clean the battery terminals just in case but they are shiny as can be. Disappointed in this product when I started off very happy and excited for my first electric thermometer.

Worked great right up until it quit.

I got a Weber Instant-Read as a Christmas present. Even though it is winter- we cook out year round except for when it snows. It worked awesome until last Thursday. Really quick read and lots of meat done to a turn. I got it out and it would not turn on. Today I tried replacing the battery. No joy. It still won't come on. Lots of corrosion and goo- looks like the old battery leaked. I have never seen a small battery do this, but other than that I have no explanation.

Battery replacement impossible n

Thermometer works great until you need to change the battery. The screw is so small even the tiniest screwdriver won’t open the case.

I purchased one of these in the fall and the battery ran down after only a few months. But customer service (esp. Giovanna) was wonderful to work with, and they sent me a new one very quickly. Weber really does work hard to stand behind their products!
