Less than 2 months old screen goes bad. Tried replacing the battery same issue

Great Promise, but...

I got this thermometer a few months ago and I only used it 3-4 times and it worked fine. Then the screen stopped working. It only shows about half of the digits but mostly just nonsense so as to be unusable. Thinking it was a weak battery I switched the battery for a fresh one, but same issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very easy to use, I got four or five uses out of it before it went dead and I've spent about 45 minutes trying to open the battery lid and officially give up. It might be broken, it might be out of batteries but unless someone stronger than I drops by the house I'll never know.

I bought this a few weeks ago. Worked well the first few times. Went to check temp on a Boston butt and display quit working. Changed battery and still does not work

Like many of the other reviews, mine stopped working. Thought maybe the battery needed replacement, but the case is so soft, the plastic just smashed around the seam of the battery door as I tried to open it. So disappointed

We've been using this thermometer for only about 4 months when the readout became nonsensical. Assuming it needed a new battery, I replaced it, but the readout didn't improve.

It worked twice. Then went to use ot again and it didn't turn on. I thought battery was bad, so ran to hardware store and bought batteries. Installed battery and NOTHING!!! Not impressed!
