Display failed

The product is convenient to use and worked well. But after only 6 months, the display failed: the last digit no longer displays. Looking at the reviews, I'd say there's a quality problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not recommended!

I mine work fine some 5-6 times, after that the display stop working, I initially thought it was the battery, replaced it and still does not work.

Disappointed

I have two of these thermometers and they have both failed to hold up to the Weber standards for quality .
I’ve had one for approximately one year that the screen went blank on in about six months , which I figured was just a battery problem .
I happen to have a second thermometer Hyatt was given to me as a gift so I didn’t worry about going and getting a new battery for the first one .
Well , the second thermometer’s display decided to malfunction so I got new batteries for both thermometers and when I installed them , neither one would work .
The one with the blank screen was still blank and the one with the malfunctioning display was still not working !
I really like the thermometers and used them quite often but very disappointed that they didn’t last long at all .

Thermometer failure

I was given this thermometer as a gift and used it about a year then it stopped working. Tried to change the battery but the tiniest screwdriver would not remove the screw. Ready to throw it away. Very disappointed.

The thermometer worked only once before it wouldn't turn on again. I changed out the battery and it still won't turn on.
