I just bought but can't remove screw to insert battery. My smallest eyeglass screw is still too big. Help!

Your feedback is very important to us. We're sorry to hear the screw is difficult to remove. You can place a rubber band between the screw head and screwdriver to add more grip. Apply firm pressure when turning the screw slowly.

Worked twice!

I bought this a month or 2 ago used it twice and it worked fine. Then went to use it last night and the screen is messed up and can only read have the numbers. So now I can’t even use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not very good product

Bought this a year ago and it stopped working after two weeks. Figured I would replace the battery but couldn't get the back cover off? Forgot about it and just came across the thermometer today. Tried opening the cover again, but no luck? I have tried pliers, screw divers, knife etc and I can't get this cover off. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Weber instant read thermometer

This is my 2nd one, when it works it’s accurate. Went to replace the battery on 51992 and the screw is stripped! Tried all the tricks they over on line does not work
I would recommend this to a friend!

Temperature Accuracy

I wanted to check the temp accuracy of this thermometer. I placed the probe 2 inches into a pot of boiling water that boils at 212°. The thermometer read 209°. I need to add 3°."Just saying".

15 seconds is NOT "Instant"

You buy it, reading the product packaging and name that states it is "instant read." Then you come home, open it up, read the instructions and discover that it is NOT "instant read" after all. Only after getting to page 7 of the instruction booklet do you discover that it is in fact "15 second read." Weber could have said "quick read." Try and find a definition of "instant" that would include a timespan of 15 seconds. You won't.
