Great dark roast!

Just bought my first box. Couldn't help noticing the delicious aroma while it was brewing. It has a great flavor and as noted a sweetness about it. It is smooth and has no acidity. I don't usually buy dark roast but, will continue to buy this brand. So glad I tried it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Jut tried this one straight up black, no cream no sugar, aroma and tasting notes are as follows....
Aroma - Syrupy burnt notes and charred sugar with big coffee aroma. Very nice smelling brew!
Taste - Slight notes of black cherry and chocolate, but rather huge on the charred coffee taste, it's not quite like burnt coffee beans but pretty close to it. Some notes of burned exotic spices which is similar to what you get in Sumatra/Indonesian coffees.
My final thoughts.. It does match the tasting notes which are written on the box (Intense deep roast, black cherry and dark chocolate) but it's not real heavy in the cherry and chocolate taste and the cherry taste faded pretty quick as the coffee started to cool off. However, this is quality stuff, I enjoyed drinking it but it's just not on the same level as some of the microlot dark roasted Sumatra coffees I've had.
Score - 77 out of 100

I was excited to try this coffee based on high reviews but sadly, it is just an ordinary coffee and not a favorite. I am waiting for the Illy K-cup to hit the market. Currently we are Major Dickasons fans but always looking for the one k-cup that will 'knock our socks off'

I use for lattes, iced coffee, blended drinks. It's strong enough to come through on blende drinks. Too bitter for me and not much depth of flavor.

My new favorite coffee! I love bold coffees but often find them to be bitter. This one has a very rich, clean coffee flavor without tasting smoky, earthy or bitter. Love it!

Only half of these cups worked in my Keurig 2.0
