They are bad after getting wet

They suck after getting wet bc I forgot to take them out of my pocket when I was getting into my pool and the were in rice for about 48 hours and they still work but they turn on randomly and won’t turn on when I want them to

I need this airpods to work but the problem is when I use them I use only one pair of them. But when I try to use the toothpaste together one of them work and the other one does not work. How can I fix this
