2k Pan/tilt camera

The video quality is very good, and the low-light
(not completely dark) response is extremely good with great color rendition (natural lighting only, built-in IR lighting switched OFF). I am using the camera indoors aimed through a window to record outdoor activity, so the software-based motion detection is great vs. IR which would not work. One problem is that because the camera is white its reflection from the glass window is superimposed over the outdoor image. I had to cover the camera body in black tape to fix the problem. Also at night the camera will pick up when inside lights are turned on and off as "motion" (internal reflection from the window glass), but that's due to my indoor/outdoor application; I built a cardboard camera cover to help shield the glass from indoor light/reflections, which helps a bit.
Not sure if it's a camera or App problem, but frequently during playback of recorded motion it will freeze the image; sometimes it continues after several seconds, but sometimes it doesn't and I have to skip to the next occurrence of motion. I plan to contact Customer Service about this.
Also, I wish it had the capability to send an email in addition to a notification when motion is detected. I have older Lorex Wi-Fi cameras which do this and it's a nice feature.

Solid indoor Camera

The 2k indoor camera is a great camera. It has a solid picture and the pan and tilt are great. Obviously there's a little delay operating through the app but it functions great. Only downside is that the camera would be best if it was hung from the ceiling to get the full range of the pan and tilt. But with the camera having the need to plug it in and most home don't have outlets in the ceiling, makes it difficult to do that with out having wires strung across your ceiling or wall. I currently have mine set up on a shelf about eye level but by doing that I've limited the camera's ability to look down towards the floor, to check on pets or whatever. Out side of that it's a solid camera with a great picture, the app (Lorex Home) is a little quirky but definitely better than the Lorex Cirrus app.

Happy Wife Happy Life

I bought one 2K pan-tilt for our garage interior. My wife was so impressed by it, she wanted one inside our house so she can watch our dog when we are away. She love that it can be made to face the wall when she wants privacy automatically. She is so happy with our Lorex system. Now when I mention our old ring system, she is very happy I upgraded.
