It has one flaw

The engineers messed up on this one, sadly i bought 4. The problem is the camera can not be adjusted downward. So forget about mounting this camera up high or on a shelf because there is no pan down. It needs to be mounted on a wedge that will tilt the camera downward to get a full view, panning upward is no problem.
Other then that this camera is excellent. Please fix this issue Lorex, i really can't believe you designed it this way.

An easy to setup camera that provides a wide field of view

This is great for covering a large area with a single camera; however, I have a few complaints. You cannot point the camera lower than horizontal which prevents you from looking down towards the floor right in front of camera. The Pan-Tilt operation was not very smooth. It was hard to "nudge" the camera into a new position. The is often a delay to reposition the camera. I originally set the camera up for Wi-Fi. Subsequently, I wanted to use a wired connection, but there was not setting on the app to allow me to make the switch. I finally chatted with a technician that instructed me to reset the camera to the initial setup process would go back to the beginning. The camera is described as a pan-tilt-zoom but the zoom is actually just a software zoom using a two-finger pinching gesture. I was expecting an optical zoom on the camera itself.

We got this camera to check in on my elderly mother. It's given us all peace of mind when we can't be with her physically.
