Excellent Drill

I have owned this drill for over 5 years. It has worked perfectly. I have used it to put in and remove screws of up to 3 1/2 inches with ease. It is an excellent drill for the money.

The first one of these that I own is nearly the same as this one. It worked for many years before I misplaced and have not been able to find this most handy item. I hunted high and low, looking everwhere without luck. The more that I lookded the more things that I saw that I needed it to do the job. Begrugingly, I decided to give up and buy another...yet they are no longer made. The one that I purchased is actually better than the first. Thank you Black & Decker for improving over the years. You are one of a mighty few that strives to better your self as the years pass.

Good for Price

I have purchased this tool multiple times and it tends to break around 2 yrs after purchasing it. Usually the issue has to do with either the chuck or the clutch. But for the price it's completely worth buying again. It works fine for awhile and the price is very good.

Finished my entire basemen, 2013 purchase

Bought in 2013, fantastic balance and wrist never got tired finishing an entire basement during Covid: studs, drywall, running electric thru joists, used to drill joists and screw dry wall. Replaced a heavy 20th-century Craftsman...had no idea it could be so comfortable to use...lightweight and so balanced. Battery just never seems to run out, always charged at end of the day....and still as powerful as the day it was bought. Rugged, droped many times to a concrete floor.

I bought this about 2 mos. ago and it is good. I just don't know how to lock it so when I put it in reverse it does not loosen the bit. Any answers???

Broke in under a month

Bought one at the beginning of the summer solely for lowering and lifting the legs on my trailer. 3 weeks later it stopped being able to turn the screw. I thought maybe I had put too much pressure on it using it on drill setting and since I already had one battery thought I'd just buy another drill with battery. Set the thing up on #4 setting so that I was sure that I wasn't forcing anything and 4 weeks later the same thing happened. The drill isn't even able to overcome the resistance of my hand resting on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
