Not as easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the electric staple gun would really drive the staple into the chair seat I was reupholstering but I found I had to press just as hard as I had with the manual staple gun I had. So I was disappointed.

Hello, there. We're sorry you were disappointed with Arrow's T50ACD Compact Electric Staple Gun. There are a few things that could be affecting the performance of the staple gun. First, this tool does have a contact safety, so it's helpful to be aware of the size and placement of the contact safety, and then place the tool accordingly. Typically this is more a matter of positioning than force. Second, the size of staple used for your project can affect the penetration of a staple. For example, if you're stapling a thin fabric into a hard wood like oak, plywood or MDF, we recommend a 5/16-inch staple. But if you're stapling thick material and batting into a soft wood like pine or Douglas fir, a 1/2-inch staple is more appropriate. In addition to picking the best size staple for your materials, one thing that can increase staple penetration when working with a hard wood is placing a hand on the top of the cap of the tool when firing. excellent power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just picked up this stapler to finish a large upholstery job and am quite pleased with the power it pushes staples with. There was very little need to come back with a hammer to sink them flush, as was the case with my previous electric stapler. I could also tell by my arm and shoulder that it was doing more of the work for me! (We're talking 5,000 staples on this job.) It does not get very close into corners. I do wish it had a better head for that. All in all it is a very nice electric stapler for when my pneumatic nailer isn't right for the job.

I used it first and now realize I shall be using it as well to attach 1/4 laminated plywood and other products. It really delivers a good solid staple and does not require much effort. An excellent buy for the price.
