Hello, there. The size of staple used for your project can often affect the penetration. For example, if you're stapling a thin fabric into a hard wood like oak, plywood or MDF, we recommend a 5/16-inch staple. But if you're stapling thick material and batting into a soft wood like pine or Douglas fir, a 1/2-inch staple is more appropriate. However, we know that this may not fully address what you experienced with Arrow's T50ACD Compact Electric Staple Gun, and we would love to touch base with you to further troubleshoot. Look for an email from us today!
