More than expected, and also more complex. Cooked steak very well, but grilled cheese took longer. It is a must to at least try some of the recipes online, as this device is not just an air fryer. But I do like it and how big it is compared to the normal kind of air fryer.

The New Generation of Air Fryer

I had a Kalorik air fryer for the past 6 years which I loved because it cooked things well but was a pain to clean. Since I use it every day it was getting worn looking so it needed to be replaced. I was going to go back to a Kalorik but wanted to see what else was out there. After doing some research I found Typhur Dome 2 which is rated as one of the best air fryers. The main selling point is that it is self-cleaning. What a treat!
It looks a little different than what I was used to, but this air fryer is the bomb! I love the large pull-out basket and was a bit skeptical that the large pizza from the store would fit in it, but it does. Not only that but it bakes perfectly! The crust comes out a nice golden brown, even under the pizza. Dare I say that it looks and tastes like a fresh pizza, but it does!
Wow, when we made bacon I knew this would be the true test. It came out perfect! The clean up after it was something I was not prepared for. I didn't know how it would handle all the grease of the bacon, but a few squirts Dawn Power Wash on a cooled basket and grate after emptying the grease was all that was needed. I think there is a light self-cleaning mode for the fryer that can be used when you cook something greasy like bacon but as far as cleaning the basket and the grate, it was sooo easy because of the coating they are made with.
Love this new generation of air fryer. Typhur has done its homework! Yes, it's expensive, but you will definitely use it every day because it makes things so well and the time it saves cleaning it, is worth the price.

I never thought I would pay this kind of money for a countertop convection oven. I am glad I did. This machine outperforms competitors with the dual heating elements and ease of cleaning. Just a solid bit of kit!
It is large and demands countertop space. It has earned that space in my kitchen. Great machine!
