The product is overestimated. We're talking about a power supply. With these prices you do not raise the level of your products but just drive your customers to aftermarket products.

Works, but overpriced, buzzing

While the adapter works, there are two problems with it: it costs too much, and emits a loud (at least in studio environment) buzzing electronic noise. For a dumb adapter costing this much, you would think they put together something without such a basic fault.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

good BUT

you need something called a DC coupler which is a "false battery" (it makes your camera think its' a batter whereas it just gets powersupply from external source). The one in the image is a Sony branded one...but it can be had much cheaper online (off brand). The sony branded one is good though.
