I purchased because my cord at the usb end wires split while computer was
under warranty it would have been nice to have a resource to get my new cord under warranty which is what I was entitled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The charger that originally came with the laptop died on me for an unknown reason and so I bought a new charger. When I first used the new charger for the first two weeks, it went well. Then out of the blue, the charger started to slow down. It would take 4-6 hours to fully charge the laptop from a low battery life and when I use the charger when the computer is on, it slightly charged the computer but it was not enough because I would see the battery life dropping instead of rising! Overall, I give it a 3 star rating because it does work but unfortunately, it seemly act like it won't last for the lifetime of the laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
