very fast

I was just looking for a USB flash drive to store some music, and then play it in our vehicle, and the Lexar JumpDrive S80 is excellent.
It is very easy to use. Transferring music from my computer is super fast. And when I attach the drive to our vehicle's USB port, sound is excellent.
Creating folders has been a little tricky, though. It took some effort to figure it out.

Write speeds extremely slow.

Perfectly usable as a basic USB drive, but falls flat on its face if used for anything write-intensive. Trying to run a Live-USB-based operating system is very slow, and upon testing, I found the drive only writes at 3MB/s! Random writes are even worse at 0.10 MB/s, while read speeds are OK at around 130MB/s. I'm not sure if I'll return the drive, since it is basically unusable for my needs, but for $11 who cares...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
