Unboxed this unit and purchased the matching benq ceiling mount (must have) and mounted this approximately 12 feet from the desired screen location and have achieved a 9.5 foot wide screen which would be a 131" tv. Short throw yes, but be aware there are two options for projecting using this unit. A few oddities when hooking up to different hdmi equipment. There's an auto focus, which half the time completely screws up my laptop to the point I have to turn everything off and start over, but once I do that, it works flawlessly for the usage time. Have not had the same issue when hooking into a switch 2, xbox or a Chromecast ultra. Picture quality with the hdr on and 120hz refresh is absolutely impeccable. And it is capable of 240hz. At first I had this set up projecting on a freshly painted white wall, and although impressive, I had to have the lights off to achieve full quality. Once I installed an ALR screen I was blown away, with lights on, the picture quality was still insane. If you are purchasing a projector of this quality and spending this much, do yourself a favor and buy the screen to actually see the quality and let this baby shine. I have a 65" Samsung qled Q7500 series and this projector performs to the same standard, except its 3 times the size! The adjustability and zoom options are pretty well thought out and allow you to pitch zoom and warp the screen in many different ways to achieve a proper screen. Keystone being a main one. Having these adjustments and properly utilizing them, will allow a home theater in almost any scenario. Keep in mind you have to have the keystone adjustments all set to zero to achieve a true 4K at 240hz. Overall happy with the unit. 4 stars because of the oddity issues with hooking into a computer, and this may just be my computer but it is a small issue I was having.
