Noisy, clicking all the time..even when I'm not accessing it (is it communicating with the Cloud?). Sounds like the R/W heads are too close to the disk...

I have had previous WD external HDD and very happy with my purchases. High quality product, tons of data storage. If I was to have a do over I think I would of purchased two smaller drives, maybe 8 TB to have double backup of all my images, but still very happy with my purchase.
Good amount of storage for the price. Fairly fast file transfers. I have another older version of this drive that has not had any corruption issues in the 3+ years I've used it. My one wish is that this could draw power through the USB like the WD passport drives, so I didn't have to deal with another power cable. At least the power cord has been trimmed down from the older version, so it doesn't overlap adjacent outlets on my power strip.
