This lens is about perfect ( if not cheap! ) The quality of the optics, the fact that it is NOT a fisheye makes it possible to take very wide photos such as landscapes without distortion while keeping all parts of the picture in focus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I do architectural photography had I had been using this lens for over three weeks in difference jobs.
This lens it is outstanding the optic quality, the excellent construction and the wide coverage at 11mm aloud to take photos that before were not possible unless a panoramic was done.
Any distortion is minor in comparison with other lenses the 16-35 or the 17-40 and much better chromatic aberration control.
The lens is heavy but do not bother me I always use a tripod. It is pricy but you get what you pay for.

I am a professional and I own this lens for about three years. I shoot home interiors for multiple listing. I could not do the job that I do without this lens.

Best of the best wide angle lense in all senses of the word.
I always wanted Canon to find a way of using filters which I saw very remote, but when I got my R5 Canon made possible with the Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R.
Good going Canon!!!

As I've transitioned from film to digital, my equipment has increased in features and worth for my use--landscape, color abstract, and real estate--and some things keep proving to be true: the photographer's skill remains the most vital equipment in the equation, but good glass means more than anything.
In 50+ years of taking pictures I've owned some good equipment, and have seen the change in zoom design where the modern zooms are so close to the quality of a prime, it seems almost foolish to leave the zoom at home for a job. I went from a love affair with the 10-22 on my 50D, to the 16-35L 2.8 on my Mk III, then to a greater love affair for the 16-35 4.0, then the plunge into the price of this lens 2 years ago.
This lens is expensive, heavy, extra care for the bulbous lens sitting out there, but I will grab this lens before any other. I've carried it on 15+ mile hikes to get the shot I wanted because this is the one lens that would provide the color, sharpness and depth I was after. Inside work is a bit trickier, but if slightly out of level, cropping to the center still leaves a wider view than my 16mm provides. And, if level...well, anything I can bring to the equation to make a good photo is only amplified by this lens. I love it.

I'm a Architectural photographer and this is perfect! The only issue i've had was shooting very larger rooms wide open, sometimes I have to zoom in on post processing. I love it!

Best wide able zoom ever!

I own the Canon 16-35 f/2.8 along with the Canon 16-35 f/4….. and also the Canon 14mm f/2.8.
I have been waiting for the new Canon 11-24 for about as long as I can remember as I love photographing wide-angle
all over the world, being a travel photographer.
The new 11-24 is just about as sharp as the incredible 16-35 f/4 and it is the most beautiful piece of glass
that I have ever used in my life. It is big and heavy, but it almost doesn't matter as you know that you have one amazing lens
in your hand and there is nothing to describe the images that it takes.
At 11 mm, it is absolutely astonishing. sharp from corner to corner, no chromatic aberration at all, and almost no vignetting
except possibly a little at wide open. I have been waiting for this lens for as long as I can remember and Canon has totally delivered.
There is nothing like it on the market and the photographs just blow me away. I have done thorough testing with it
against every other Canon wide angle that I have, and it is in a class by itself!
Thank you Canon making the most beautiful wide-angle zoom lens any of us have ever seen!
