A good strong vacuum machine that really works.

The motor that powers this vacuum is still as strong as ever. However the materials that are used seem to be made of cheap plastic. This has always been a good vacuum cleaner, so raise the price, and use quality materials.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The overall performance is very good. It has good suction. And I like the way that I can move it around the house easily. However, the hard handle with the bend in it, as a bad design. That bend allows debris to get caught in it. I currently have the wand that is clogged with no way of getting it unclogged. It needs a new design. Perhaps a woman can design it?

Do not purchase the Mighty Mite

Don't purchase this vacuum. After 18 months, the suction goes prior to it not working at all. Used it weekly to vacuum carpet and bare wood floors. I was advised to clean the filter behind the bag to get the suction working, but the filter was clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loss of suction/gets very hot!!

Vac gets extremely hot after using for a short time. Doesn’t have the same suction. Disappointed it didn't last a year.

Great features - some suggestions....

We bought this some time back. Love many of features like: the power, excellent suction, lightweight, stores easily, large dustbag. I especially love the ability to sit the unit on the flat back making it easier store the chord and to replace the bag.
What could be improved is 1-the flat front - it doesn't go around corners and doors like the round front used to do, 2-the plastic used on the hose is too stiff and harder to work vs. a pliable hose as our old one had. 3- Although the on the hose handle is a very nice option to reduce or increase suction, when open, it can painfully suck your skin if your hand moves down the shaft. Perhaps you could find a less problematic location. But overall, a great little vac!!
