My wife bought me this a couple of weeks ago and it works perfect for tying into my bows wave radio and playing CDs or Bluetooth connection to my phone for some of my recorded songs. It gives me great feedback because it's so clear. I love it!

Connected via Bluetooth it actually sounds worse than the TVs speakers. Connected via optical it sounds slightly better. When connected either way the TVs sound controls are disabled and the soundbar remote must be used. It seems like the volume control is either too loud or too soft with the soundbar remote. When connected via optical I had to change the audio format from the default Dolby to PCM. I didn't see that in the instructions and took m some time to figure it out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
