Did not expect it to interfere with Audio Equipment

After reading all the rave reviews about this product, I purchased it to be used with a few high end audio components: Two speakers (with built in Class D amplification) and a DAC. I purchased everything new and after plugging in the components I began to hear an electrical hiss / hum that would fade in and out, and it began to grow louder over a week or two. Sometimes it would be barely audible, other times it would be audible, but after shutting down the power source (at the power strip), turning everything back on, the sound would be gone. But it would reappear. One evening, I turned on the system and I heard an unbearably loud electrical crackling out of both speakers instead of music, and they both flashed orange signifying an error. I shut everything down. Restarted, and the same thing. I left things alone overnight shut off. The next morning, The same hiss, and later, that loud crackle with an error. After trial and error, combination and even a warranty replacement of the DAC which was initially suspected as the culprit since both speakers were giving an error at the same time, we did the only thing we hadn't done at the outset which was suspect the power strip and removed it from the equation. Plugged in the system components into the wall outlets, and it has been functioning without an issue ever since. Of course, the question becomes, whether I have tried another power strip, the answer is that I haven't -- sort of leaving well enough alone. What the A/V technician and I could surmise was that there was an electrical leak from the power strip which was bleeding into the signal over the Powerlink (CAT7) speaker cables running from the DAC to the speakers and causing the errors. As for the bottom line, I am hoping that I got a lemon, but from my experience with this particular model, I would have to not recommend it. (See my other review for the 4 port model)

After extensive research, I decided on this particular product from Tripp Lite. What I found is that most units sold to musicians as "power conditioners" are truly glorified surge protectors, and often not even good for that use. Tripp Lite came heavily recommended from some very picky colleagues. Pricewise, it beat out any other remotely similar product. This thing is built like a tank - fits perfectly into my amplifier's road case. Easily handles the power and protection requirements for my amp and effects pedal power supply. As I often play venues with questionable electrical supplies, this Isobar 6 could not be more perfect.

4 months, but started to auto shut down [for no visible reason] and would then restrict the battery charging capability of the charger on the vehicle. The Tripplite was removed and the car started recharging as necessary. The charger on the vehicle is a simple 110V device.
