The box doesn’t say it’s for 3x3 notes - it says size is 4x4 — not the size of the notes as I thought but size of the holder.

I needed another pop-up stickies dispenser and this one caught my eye. Much easier to open than a competitive brand and the clear top showcases the paper color. It’s always a bonus when you can save money too. Glad I switched.
