I do a lot of mailing out of books and documents. Some of them are heavy and I cannot ship in a container that will result in folded pages. The quick strip works well most of the time but sometimes it is necessary to use tape to secure it. The bubble wrap is effective and light weight. The major drawback is that these are expensive and there are no volume discounts as is possible with some mail order firms. I also am a firm believer that "once is not enough" and I frequently am able to use such mailers more than once.

I make and ship many baby items to deployed soldier's wives who are about to have a baby and need a little extra support. The envelops are cheaper to ship than boxes.

Sorry did not meet my expectations. The 81/2 letters did not fit easily in the mailer. The Post office does not like these soft mailers prefer thge hard cardboard type. Sorry but you asked!
