The bubble mailers are of reduced quality AND size--just compare with the old ones. They SEEM thinner (IS there less bubble wrap?). That 1/2" (?) or so in length makes a difference when I am mailing Octavo books--which is what I use the envelopes for. This quality is what you find at Ocean State Job Lot the old Building 19 or the like. Why does the No Andover MA store usually have the next size up but not this size OR vice-versa??

These are to small to mail DVD's and with no lines iut looked less professional several ripped as DVD was put in. Overall they are for small lightweight items. Somewhat over priced also
The great thing about these paper bubble mailers is that the thin tape covering the sticky sealing line is intact on each mailer. On the last set of five plastic bubble mailers that I purchased the thin tape covering the sticky sealing line was not properly place. The sticky sealing line was not in the correct position and one mailer had adhered itself to another mailer which made both of them unusable. Both mailers tore apart. That made two of the five mailers unusable. It was too late to return them because I had purchased them months earlier. The quality control on the paper bubble mailers is much better!
I purchased the product to hold a CD safely along with a note on a sheet of 8.5"x11" paper - which I didn't want to have to fold. The width given of 9.5"x11" is misleading. It does not accommodate a sheet of paper 8.5" wide. It doesn't accommodate an 11" length either.
