These are the size I use most; I mail books frequently and the #2 envelopes match the standard size used in publishing these days.

Great bubble mailer

These bubble mailers are well-made and durable. We use them to ship small items that don't need to be packed in larger protective boxes. These mailers save us on shipping costs and packaging time. Staples always has these in stock so if we run out I know I can run out to our local Staples store and pick up another package of them (rather than having to wait for an online order delivery to arrive). We also use the Staples bubble mailer that is the next size up but we find that these mailers are the perfect size of our needs most of the time.

I am using them for mail orders and they are the perfect size for my purpose. So far I've not received any notice that the item I was shipping (35-pg. booklet) arrived in bad condition. So far so good! I do wish they were a bit more reasonable in price.

Staples had two sizes one too large 8 -1/2" x 11" and one too small 6"x9" so I purchased the one that was too large. I had to adjust the mailer.
