Mailers too think to qualify for First Class

I purchased these mailers for sending (very) small flat items. Because they are the correct size and (I thought) thickness they would meet USPS First Class mail standards - and only require 73 cents postage for an item weighing less than 1 ounce. HOWEVER the envelopes are 1/64th" too wide and so EXCEED the 1/4" USPS thickness requirement. Instead of 73 cents they are charges at the large envelope rate of $1.50 for the first ounce. OUCH!

Just ordered 7/2024 and these are no longer made the same. Quality has went way down. Instead of individual envelopes they are now being made in a roll and perforated and torn apart. The seal flap is also smaller. In picture the top envelope is from 7/2024 bottom envelope is from 11/2023 same item # so I returned them.
