Dead Motherboard

I did my own build and the motherboard will not even come on, there is some power going to the motherboard as I can see some LEDs cycling but the power switch will not even turn the motherboard on I have checked all the wiring 3 times over, moved ram around, tried with one stick, removed the video card removed the ram, even tried turning it on directly from the motherboard, it wouldn't even budge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
