I've owned this product for about 6 months now. it worked great for the first 3-4 months and then started leaking. Motor is very powerful.
After much investigation, I found that the design is very defective.
Defects: 1. When you lock the jar on the base, the motor runs immediately. It also means that the motor runs even when the jar is still locking into the base. This results in the wear out of the locks of the jar. 2. Also, The motor runs clockwise and the jar also opens clockwise ... When you lock the jar, the motor runs immediately and it also loosens the jar base due to high power.
Solutions: 1. If the company is reading the reviews, they need to change the design in a way that the motor should start 2 seconds after the jar is locked. 2. Also they could change the direction the jar locks thus preventing it from opening when the motor starts.

Bought this in early may and it started leaking right away. I thought I didn't have it screwed on tight enough so I tightened it really tight, it still leaked and I had a hard time getting it off. Now I can't use it at all.

I have the lower model NutriBullet and thought this one would be more powerful. But I found it much much louder and it didn’t thoroughly blend my frozen fruit. If I had hearing protection I would’ve given it a second chance but instead it went back and I bought a second base model (600 watts, I think) to have at my parents house.

My pro head gers stuck in the unit. Would NOT buy again. I slung my shake all over the kitchen trying to get my shake cup out! If the don't replace it soon it is going in the trash.

Really great blender! I like to rate items based on its functionality and ethical sourcing. It functions great, but I could not find much information on the Nutribullet website regarding whether their products are ethically sourced (ie. do laborers get paid well, what is the product's environmental impact, is recycled content used to make the product?) I would love to see Nutribullet move towards B-Corp certification.
