This arrived rolled tightly into a stiff, hard ball. It took three days to thaw and use. No documentation or instructions on this site or with the package about this issue. The fabric cover was ripped along seam. Can't believe I paid $400 for it. But my wife wanted it. Sigh.

This is the second twin that I purchased. The first one was for me and then my husband was commenting that his back was hurting, so I suggested that we purchase a second twin for his. The second one is about four inches shorter than the first one. Don't know why. But since my husband is not tall, it did not make much difference comfort wise, only looks odd when I make the bed.

I'm a cadet at the Virginia Military Institute and I bought the twin long mattress topper about a month ago because our beds are very uncomfortable. It's the best money I've ever spent. I have insomnia and sometimes my back and neck ache. This mattress is so unbelievably comfortable and I was surprised how much such a little thing could improve my sleep. One thing I found surprising though is it's pretty heavy, keep that in mind if you travel a lot. Either way, guaranteed to give you the best sleep ever so get it!

Been sleeping on it for 1.5 months now and it's still great. I barely toss and turn at all now, and only when my mind is racing, never for lack of comfort. Most people are right; it does take a few nights to get used to. It took me about a week. For those first couple of nights it was difficult to get to sleep (mind you, I am sleeping on ONLY the mattress pad, no bed underneath), but now I doze right off. I can lie down in a position that's comfortable and STAY in that position until I fall asleep. I could never do that before on my big queen spring mattress. And of course, the pad is portable; that's the main reason I looked for mattress pads/futons instead of traditional beds. (Side Note: Buy the Tempurpedic if you're deciding between that and a futon, even those "authentic" J-Life Shikifutons.) My mattress topper is comfortable, portable, can easily be fitted with sheets, and is MUCH less of a hassle when I'm moving - no hassle at all, really! If it's this or a futon, pick this.

I have been asked several time to look at cheaper alternative by friends and family but time and again tempurpedic is a worthwhile investment. There is no back pressure from the topper yet it provides great support. In my experience Tempur pillows works the best on this topper so I have contoured pillows. At present this is used on my son's day bed. We will cut it to size in some time and use all the pieces for something such as cushion on bench etc.
