Have been sleeping on Tempurpedic for years. Before all the Big Box had them, when they were only available thru small stores. We love them, have 2 Kings, 2 Queen, 2 Doubles, and 3" Toppers for kids college beds.
Pros: Comfortable

Life changing

I have had low back problems for years. I am fit, healthy and active. I have been doing physical therapy for my back for years. I do yoga twice a week. It has helped, but I haven't been able to fix the problem. On a ski trip I stayed in my friend's guest bedroom on a Tempurpedic mattress. I wasn't crazy about it, but after three days of skiing my back should have been killing me and it wasn't. After my first night home in my bed, it was once again super painful. It didn't want to commit to a full Tempurpedic and my current mattress is not that old, so I bought a 3" Topper. After a week my life has changed. I no longer walk around in chronic pain. I am so happy. Con: It did smell at first, but that seems to have dissipated. Also, it is a king size, but is too small for our king sized bed, that is a little awkward. It would be a lot nicer if it were the proper size.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Support, Holds Shape

Hi and thank you for the review. We notice that you are in CA. Is it possible that you have a California King bed and a King topper? That could explain the difference in size. California King measurements are 72*84 while King measurements are 76*80.

This is my second Tempur-pedic mattress topper. I also purchased a new, firm mattress set at the same time. I expected the same density as the first topper I owned, but it was of lesser quality. The foam compresses too much and it makes my hip hurt where it presses against the firm mattress. As long as I sleep on my back (not my favorite position) it is fine, but cannot turn on either side. It is also about 4 inches shorter than my standard mattress. I also wish they would offer sheets that fit the topper itself (OR) would cover the topper plus the mattress. I hate the wrinkles in the fitted sheet I try to tuck around the topper. PS: the odor did dissipate over time.
Pros: Comfortable, Holds Shape, Soft Feel
Cons: Compressives Too Much, Too short
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I adore my Tempurpedic mattress topper! I recently bought a new mattress, not a Temperpedic, for which I am sorry. The saleswoman said it was the softest in their store. After buying the Tempurpedic topper, however, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I sink down and immediately feel enveloped in softness. Since I have a shoulder injury, I am now able to sleep on that side, which is a huge improvement. Next time, a Temperpedic mattress!
