After experiencing a wonderful Tempurpedic mattress on vacation we wanted the same experience at home. Reading all the wonderful reviews I thought we were in for a treat with this topper. It arrived quick and took shape immediately. Thats where our great experienced stopped. This topper was terrible to sleep on! Both my husband and I couldnt Get comfortable on it. Instead of just my heel sinking in, the entire area around my heel sunk in. ( and all pressure point areas for that matter). Also, when shifting positions, I couldn't get out of the sink holes it formed. So here we spent $360 for topper and pillow ( which I cant use either as it has way too much loft), and cant return it. Terrible policy by such a well known and respected company. This whole experience has turned us off from ever considering another Temper-pedic product. $360 down the drain and we had to go buy another mattress.
This is my first memory foam purchase (mattress topper). Rather dense, but very supportive without being too firm. It "gives" with the contours of your body. Comfortable. It is quite warm, more so than regular bedding. Can be too hot unless you use fewer covers. Greatly reduced soreness in my hip from pressure put on it when laying on that side. Also reduced tossing and turning. Made the height of my bed higher than I'd like, but I will live with that. Very satisfied overall.
I had a previous topper 4 inch cooling. Yes it was comfy for about 5 minutes. I used it for 6 months and back and hip was in such pain. I ordered temperpedic and its medium hardness Was tough to get use to but I wake up with no pain. I've been in physical therapy to fix my hip and back. The temperpedic cause no pain and I am sleeping longer. I had a temperpedic prior and it lasted 10 yrs. I expect this to last the same. With the money.
Bought this topper for our guest room amd my daughter and her husband thought that it was really hard although it got better as the week went on. Hopefully it will be more sleepable as it is used.
