Traded one problem for another.

The topper is comfortable and I don't wake up from not being comfortable or wake up with a sore hip or shoulder from sleeping on my side but...now I wake up from being so hot...the topper retains heat and I can't sleep because of that now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I've had great results. I recently bought a mattress from an on-line company which is just way to firm. From the first night using the topper I felt the difference immediately. Much better night sleep. No more shoulder and hip pain! Minus one star due to the mattress I have the pad needs readjusting daily and the mattress cover won't stay on properly.

Ordered this topper on 7/25/2020, it was delivered via UPS within 3 days. My husband and I put it on the bed immediately. The next morning we looked at each other and raved about "what" a good night of sleep we both experienced. We continue to say the same thing, and we're on day 4. I'm waking up and in awe that my back is not hurting. Puts me in a really good mood. The firmness is perfect for us. We're amazed, and are confirming with one another daily that this was a good way to spend money! An added bonus is, this mattress topper cost less through Tempurpedic than on a highly popular shopping site that many use.

My significant other has a full-on Tempurpedic Mattress and I wanted to upgrade my Ikea mattress without breaking the bank. This Tempur-Topper makes my bed feel just like his! It's so fantastic, and affordable. I would recommend to anyone trying to elevate their sleeping. It's soft enough that you get that plush feel, but still has enough support for my subluxing hips. 10/10
