Topper great, cover NO

this is by far the most comfortable thing I have ever laid on. If you are hesitant to buy one, just bite the bullet and do it. You will not regret it. It made my old 15 year old mattress feel like a brand new one. I've never slept better. Unfortunately the mattress cover was not thought out well. The top is wonderful, the bottom part slides all over your bed. So when you get up and down two or three times or roll over two or three times your mattress topper is going to hang over the side of your bed and you have to get up and slide it back. I've never had this problem with anything else except this topper. The bottom of the cover it's made of a canvas type material. I do not have a slick topped mattress but this topper did not stay positioned. I even tried putting one of those rubber things that you put on the floor to keep your rugs from sliding underneath the topper between my mattress. That did not work either. It was a major problem. So five stars for the topper itself and one star for the cover. I'm still going to recommend it because it's phenomenal comfort. But just be aware, you are going to hate the cover.

I bought this queen 3" topper in about 1994. When I moved to another state in 2010 I wasn't going to bring it with me but when I took the cover off to wash for selling, I saw it was as good as new. So I squeezed it into a box and mailed it to myself at the new home. I LOVE IT! I put in under my mattress in the summer time because it is warming, but in the winter I move it back to the top of the mattress. GREAT product and wouldnt' trade it for the world!

Too soft

I didn't like the topper, you sink into it, like if you are wrapped into it and tied. Cannot turn from one side to the other, on the floor it feels a better. If you go camping and plan to sleep in a sleeping bag or back of a truck, it would be perfect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing

Serious back pain my entire adult life. This topper is worth the money. I opened it up before I left for work and almost forgot about until I went to change out of my work clothes. I laid down just to try it out and fell asleep in less than 10mins. I was out like a light for hours and only because I was starving from not having any dinner. very excited to start the new year with a basically new bed!

Best topper I have used, bed was a little firm for my liking and this definitely helps. The topper is a little firm itself, wish they had softer options but I knew this going in. I will say the off gasing took longer than I expected and is still lingering months later. First few days it was too intense, had windows open and fans on it the entire time with no help including flipping.

I've had this mattress topper for maybe 3 months. After the first few weeks, it started to smoosh in where we slept. We turned it over and around and the original divot is still there. Took this off the bed and put it on the guest bed as it's not worth the money we spent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to install even inside a mattress protector that is like a sandwich bag. It does hold in heat more than the mattress alone. We don't wake up with one of our arms asleep because the mattress is too hard. But I do notice an increase in overall heat and retention. I definitely use one less blanket than before and I still notice a difference.

I own 2 of these toppers and have slept on one every night for 6 months. While the foam does feel amazing to lay down on, the design of the foam insert and cover are so poorly thought out that it severely detracts from the quality of sleep you can get with this topper. First, the topper traps more body heat than other foam toppers, either because the foam is solid and has no channels (holes) to allow airflow and/or because the zippered cover is made of a waterproof fabric that does not breathe. If you sleep hot, this is a major bummer. Removing the cover would be quite difficult because it only has a zipper on one end. Getting it back in would be a nightmare. Second, the mattress topper doesn't stay in one place. It shifts around on top of your mattress and pulls the fitted sheet off. I cannot fathom why Tempurpedic didn't think to sew elastic straps onto the cover at the corners. That one change would make this product so much better and easier to use. You still can't beat the comfort of this thick foam topper, but the design really needs revamping to make it worth the cost imo. I recommend it, but only if you are okay with it being fussy and hot.
