[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this mattress topper for less than two months. Prior to receiving it I had been experiencing hip pain during the night that kept me from sleeping even though my medium-firm mattress was only about 6 months old. Once I put the mattress topper on, I was able to sleep pain free! However, after a couple of weeks I noticed the mattress was not bouncing back from the depressions (I weigh less than 150 lbs.), and my hip pain returned. I rotated the topper, and it was good for another couple of weeks before the pain returned. When I rotated the topper again back to the original position, it no longer provided the relief it did initially. So disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to sleep with 2 and sometimes 3 pillows under my knee to support my back so that I would not wake up in pain. I've slept like that for the last 3 years. Just for fun, I tried without pillows once we got our topper, no pain. Tried it again, no pain. Nearly a month later, no pillows under my knees, flat on my back or on my side and I get excellent sleep with no pain. My wife also says she can feel a difference in her back and prefers it. I will purchase again once this wears out!

My wife has even commented on having reduced hip pain at night after we got this topper. It is expensive and costs much more than the typical bargain mattress topper, but I trust the quality of Tempur Pedic and firmly believe that you get what you pay for. I would recommend this product! When you first open it, it does have a chemical smell that takes about 24 hours to go away when you let it expand.
