The mattress topper arrived today and the packaging is disappointing and sketchy. It did come in a brown tempurpedic box, however, the mattress itself was loosely wrapped in cellophane with the ends exposed. No other protective packaging was around the mattress, others online appear to have a plastic sleeve around it. There were also no tags attached to indicate the mattress was new and not possibly used/returned. I purchased this same product two years ago and it was definitely not packaged this way. Not feeling good about this purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the 2nd topper I have purchased for my 2nd college student. It is well worth the investment. It lasts for all of the college years and maintains its comfort,form,cushion etc. no need to replace ever !

I like plush mattresses. This topper made it difficult to roll over, we felt like we were stuck in a mushy ditch. The edge of the bed sinks in. We used the topper for over a month and gave up on it. It should be returnable. It was a waste of money.

I love my new mattress. I felt like I needed a firmer mattress, and it did take a little bit of time to adjust, which would be natural based on the fact that I had a hybrid mattress before that came rolled up in a box. Very happy with the quality of this mattress and the price. I recommend this mattress to anyone who needs a firm mattress, but also likes having a pillow top.

Not as I had expected

I am 81 years, not overweight, and decided to experiment with the topper accessory for my current 8.5 inch "Firm Plush" branded Sealy (?) mattress which rests on a European slatted bedframe before shopping for a possible replacement for this likely 20 year old mattress, which continues to be very comfortable. I have delayed a review to give me a month trying the topper to ascertain any benefit. I was expecting a firm pad, but this model is, in fact, quite soft and squishy and my body weight of 175 pounds causes depressions of nearly half of its thickness, meaning that to turn from one side to the other, I must crawl out of these, as I also must do to exit the bed. Lying quietly on my back, the pad is comfortable, but no more so than the mattress alone. Bottom line, no benefit have I gained, rather increased effort to change positions and leave the bed.
As I said, and experiment, and I will be posting this topper to Craigslist for minimal price and hopefully give someone else who prefers soft sleeping a fine deal. Not all experiments can be judged as successful, but we continue to learn from them. Regretfully, RJ
